Memorial Rings with Ashes, Hair & Fur
A memorial ring is a handmade ring with a small amount of a loved one's ashes, a lock of hair, or a pet's fur set permanently into the band, so you can keep them close every day. I'm Ben Perkins, a jeweller and blacksmith, and I make every memorial ring by hand in Cornwall and Surrey. Each one is made to order, one at a time, with the care it deserves.
Ash Rings
An ash ring holds a small amount of cremated ashes, set into an inlay in the band. The ashes are often combined with gold flakes or crushed opal with a colour that meant something to the person you're remembering. Only half a teaspoon of ashes is needed, and I'll return any unused ashes to you along with your finished ring.

Hair Rings
A hair ring preserves a lock of hair within the band. Many people choose this to remember someone they've lost, but it's also a lovely keepsake for a baby's first curl or for a living loved one. A lock of around 10cm in length is all I need.

Pet Memorial Rings (Fur & Ashes)
Pets are family, and losing one is hard. I can make a ring using your pet's fur, their ashes, or both, so you can carry them with you wherever you go. Pet memorial rings follow the same process and use the same materials as all my rings.

How It Works

Get in touch. Let me know the style of ring you're after and whether you'd like it made with ashes, hair or fur.

Choose your design. Pick your ring material, width and any extras, such as crushed opal or gold flakes. I'll confirm your design before I begin.

Send your keepsake. Post it in a padded envelope, double bagged, clearly labelled with your name and return address, to the address I'll send you. Everything is kept separate and labelled from the moment it arrives.

I make your ring. Most rings take 3 to 6 weeks. If you need yours sooner, I offer a priority service, so just ask. I'm always happy to accommodate last minute orders where I can.

Your ring arrives. It comes tracked, along with any unused ashes, hair or fur.
Getting Your Size Right
Inlay rings like these can't be resized after they're made, so it's really important to get your size right the first time. It only takes a few minutes to measure, and I'm happy to talk it through with you before you order.

Looking After Your Ring
Your keepsake is sealed permanently into the inlay, which is protected for everyday wear. Like any inlay ring, it isn't designed for heavy manual work, so I'd recommend taking it off for jobs like labouring, lifting or working with tools.
